I detest smoking. But there is something so alluring about the way it looks when captured on film.

There was something stolen. But how do you file a report when you don't know what it is/was? It's just a feeling, there is a piece missing. Ramble and try to make sense

I always over analyze everything I do. At times I manipulate memories so they have the tinge of the tragic and beautiful. My heart falls for voices rather than faces. Currently I'm in love with Lou Reed, Syd Barret, David Gilmour, Caleb Followill, Sam Cooke, and Otis Redding. I'm sure there are more but my exhausted mind can't seem to remember. Often I get lulled to sleep by slow guitar riffs and soft whispers of "Candy Says" and "Pale Blue Eyes". Randomly, stanzas pop into my head but I never share them, ever. Truthfulness is a virtue that is rare, and it saddens me. My generation has such terrible taste in music and lack of creativity. Oh and someone should burn the vocoder and fringe scarves.

Quick note to Joe Wurzelbacher aka "Joe the Plumber" the election is over, time to sit down. Just because the Right used you as a caricature for the common man and paraded you around on the campaign trail does not mean your qualified to go into Israel and discuss politics. My issues concerning the war have never been with the soldiers that risk their lives for the sake of our safety. My problem is with our president who knowingly led innocent men and women into battle under false pretense. We were told lies to get us to believe this war was necessary and for that there is no excuse. I hope the incoming administration does some digging and investigates every act of torture and every death that occurred in Gitmo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Oh, and Joe please go back to wherever you came from and stop trying to capitalize on your 5 minutes of fame.

Dear Youth


There is so much more to life than the material. It sickens me at the utter lack of interest in anything substantial and concrete like say books and education in today's youth. I'm not sure who to blame, the parents who indulge their children with the extravagant or the media. Maybe I should blame both. In videos it's the sensationalization of the diamonds, trips, clothes and it's the parents that give in. Who cares if you have diamonds around your neck or a porsche in the garage if you can't even communicate. There are so many kids out there that have nothing to contribute to society but their greed and willful ignorance. If we're supposed to be the future, I'm scared of what's to come. Nothing will change unless we(youth) stop being so complacent and money hungry. Trust me, there is nothing wrong with liking the finer things in life but there is something wrong when you can't talk about anything else but the superficial.
